This site converts your measurements into an order quantity two ways. Materials that get poured or spread as a layer are measured by volume and converted to a weight using a cited density figure. Everything else, bought and installed by area, converts instead to a count — a sheet, a box, a bag, whatever the product is actually sold in — using a cited coverage figure. Either way, every number comes from a real, cited source, never a guess. See our methodology.
